The old St. George can be found opposite the new parish church, in the center of Perušić. It is surrounded with a nice open space where you can rest and enjoy the view of the fields below.
This is the oldest church in Perušić - its original parish church. It was built next to the old parish house in the 12th or 13th century. It went through significant alterations in the period between the two world wars - a new door was opened. This was restored back to its original form during the recent restoration work. The church is vaulted and it has a small "preslica" type belfry. The interior walls are articulated with blind arcades and pilasters.

Adjoining St. George is the old parish house, which has a different function today as it was replaced by a new one. It is believed to have been built in 1729 on the location of an even older house that was built simultaneously with the church, in the 12th or 13th century.
